What is the Entrepreneurial Simulator?

The Entrepreneurial Simulator is an 8 week international training program where you will acquire the knowledge, competencies and mindset to become a high impact entrepreneur. During the program you will create an entrepreneurial project to solve a global challenge supported by an Entrepreneur in Residence, mentors and other aspiring entrepreneurs like yourself.


What does the program consist of?

You’ll experience this entrepreneurial journey through this 3 stages:

1. Entrepreneurial Methodologies Certificate: Study and practice the 6 most important entrepreneurial methodologies to develop a successful business model.

2. Simulation Experience: Work with an international team of experts and aspiring entrepreneurs during a simulation that will provide an experience as close as possible to the journey of an entrepreneur, from designing a business idea to bringing it into reality.

3. TrepCamp Community: Become a part of a global community of entrepreneurs.


How can I apply to the Entrepreneurial Simulator?

  1. Apply to the program here, the application will take you about 15 minutes.
  1. You will hear from us approximately 3 weeks after applying. Depending on your score, you would be accepted to the program and receive an Acceptance Letter where you will find your credentials to access to MyTrepCamp Portal and the contact info of your personal executive.

  2. Log in to your MyTrepCamp account. Your personal executive will reach out and guide you through the enrollment process.

  3. Choose the modality and city you are interested in and secure your place by fulfilling a non-refundable deposit of $250 USD.

  4. Fulfill the rest of the Tuition, Accommodation and Meal Plan fees.

  5. You are all set! The only thing to do now is buy your plane tickets and get ready for a life changing experience.


What are the selection criteria?

The TrepCamp Admissions committee evaluates the entrepreneurial profile based on background education, current level of education, knowledge in emerging technologies, and entrepreneurial abilities. There are no minimum grades or experience requirements.


Where is this program operated?

The operation of the program depends on the modality you choose. For the on-site modalities, the cities change every summer, this year’s cities are San Diego, Boston, Mexico City and the newest is Madrid!


What are the differences between each modality?

There are three way in which you can experience the Entrepreneurial Simulator:

1. DEVELOP: Develop your skills and mindset to become a high impact entrepreneur during an 8-week online program.

2. CONNECT: Develop your entrepreneurial skills during a 7-week online program and connect with aspiring entrepreneurs from all around the world in a 1-week on-site experience.

3. IMMERSE: After developing your skills in a 4-week online program, immerse yourself on-site during 3 weeks in a high impact entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Connect and Immerse availability and operations will be subject to public health measures regarding the covid-19 pandemic.


How is the program different in each modality and ecosystem?

The Entrepreneurial Simulator program curriculum is the same across all modalities. The big difference is the format (online or on-site). However, every program is unique due to the Entrepreneur in Residence, the workshops, mentors & speakers assigned for a particular program.


How much is the Entrepreneurial simulator program?

DEVELOP: Tuition: $2,000 USD

CONNECT: Tuition: $2,750 USD + Accommodation & Meal Plan: $850 USD

IMMERSE: Tuition USD $3,500 + Accommodation & Meal Plan: $1,800 USD


What does the program include?

1. Entrepreneurial Methodologies Certificate Access to the Assessment Center 6 online courses on each modality Weekly sessions with a tutor 1 Case Study

2. Simulation Experience Workshops Access to a pool mentors (international experts) Seminars with industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs TrepCamp Certification

What languages are available for the program?

It depends on the modality you choose:

Develop: Only available in spanish

Connect: New York - available in english Silicon Valley - available in english Madrid - available in spanish Mexico City - available in spanish

Immerse: New York - available in english Silicon Valley - available in english

Remember that people from all over the world attend the program and if you speak English communication will be much easier!


Do I need a VISA for the Connect or Immerse programs?

If the program you selected requires you to travel abroad, you will have to investigate which official documents you will need to travel from your country to the country where the program will be operated. If you are staying at the accommodation we offer the point of contact is the University. This process is independent of TrepCamp, and is essential to be able to travel.


Which are the host universities for the Connect and Immerse modalities?

New York: New York University, Manhattan College

San Diego: San Diego State University

Boston: Boston University

London: Imperial College

Silicon Valley: Berkeley University

Mexico City: Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey

The spots for each host university are subject to availability.

Do I need to have a project before attending the program?

It is not necessary to have an idea or a previous project, we even invite you to do different things and get out of your comfort zone. During the Simulator you can develop an idea with a team of collaborators and help each other to grow and have new perspectives. If you already have a project in mind, that's great! But you must convince everyone in your team to participate with your idea.


How many participants will be at each program?

About 40 to 50 participants per program from 30 different countries and backgrounds. All of them with a potential of being high-impact entrepreneurs. Just like you!


What happens after the program ends?

You will be part of the TrepCamp Community and after graduating from the Entrepreneurial Simulator you’ll have the opportunity to become part of the TrepCamp Golden Team, a group of Treps with validated projects who will be eligible for future investment opportunities and entrepreneurship competitions. This outstanding group of entrepreneurs will be endorsed by TrepCamp and will represent our community on an international level.
